Dr Raymond Perrin

In the late 1980s, osteopath Dr Raymond Perrin was treating a former professional cyclist for back problems who also happened to have ME. Over seven months the patient experienced such a dramatic improvement in his symptoms that he declared Dr Perrin had “cured” him, prompting Dr Perrin to investigate why his osteopathic treatment had such a profound effect. That curiosity led him into neuroscience and decades of research that positioned him as a leading authority on ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia and post-viral fatigue syndromes. His work resulted in the development of The Perrin Technique, an osteopathic diagnostic and treatment protocol that has been used since 1989 to help thousands of patients worldwide.

In the late 1980s Dr Raymond Perrin was an osteopath specialising in sports injuries. He was treating a former professional cyclist for back problems who also happened to have ME and over the course of 7 months the patient declared Dr Perrin had ‘cured him’ of his ME.

Dr Perrin began researching why his treatment had such a profound effect. His inquisitiveness spiralled into a career as a neuroscientist, becoming a leading authority on ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia and post-viral fatigue syndromes.

His research led to him developing the osteopathic diagnostic and treatment protocol The Perrin Technique, diagnosing and effectively treating these conditions, which has helped thousands of patients since 1989.

A chance discovery.

In immersing himself in pioneering research, Dr Perrin has written research papers and developed clinical and research trials.

His hypotheses initially railed against established scientific and medical thinking, the test of time and research from scientists across the world has proven Dr Perrin to have been pioneering in his thinking and approach.

For example, the lymphatic system and lymphatic drainage system of the brain was traditionally dismissed. Only in 2017 when scans on humans showed a lymphatic drainage system of the brain did it prove what Dr Perrin had hypothesised since 1989.

Dr Perrin has become a leading authority on neurolymphatic dispersers through his theory and research. He continues to undertake research and writings whilst lecturing and teaching his The Perrin Technique across the world.

Pioneering in thinking and approach.

“If it was a drug it would have been licensed.”
